Man, oh, man...do I understand your feelings!!! The state of speech recognition is a sad situation indeed. Especially with all the snazzy Windows based solutions out there...You know, I even went so far as to buy Virtual PC in hopes that I could use some of those products only to find out it required support for 16 bit sound. Dooooooooh!!!! Well, ya know what? Hope may be on the horizon. While surfing tonight in yet another hopeful search (undertaken periodically every few months) I found a group of software developers dedicated to a continuous speech recognition solution for the Mac. :):):):):):):):) The homepage is http://www.macspeech.com. These people are serious!! They have even hired the Mac software engineers from Dragon Systems. There is a survey on their site, along with the opportunity to purchase a 'Founder's T-Shirt' (payed for in future discounts) Anyone who wished to encourage and insure the interest in their efforts please bop on over to their site and give some feedback.....I have no affiliation whatsoever with them but rather, am like so many others...a stubborn Mac enthusiast.
