DragonXTools are VBX controls which expose a simple yet powerful set of properties, events, and procedures for managing DragonDictate's sophisticated speech recognition and text-to-speech capabilities.

DragonXTools provide flexible, dynamic control over DragonDictate's recognition vocabularies. Your application can easily switch between vocabularies, add, modify, and delete individual words or groups of words, and even prompt users to train new words for improved recognition.

DragonXTools' Speechbar™ lets you integrate DragonDictate's advanced user interface directly into your application with only a few lines of code. DragonXTools even speech-enable other controls used in your applications, so you can add speech without replacing or obsoleting your existing collection of custom controls.

Together, DragonDictate and DragonXTools make it fast and easy to add state-of-the-art speech capabilities to your custom applications.

DragonDictate configuration must be backwards compatible with those intended for the end-user installations in terms of Edition (Personal, Classic, or Power), version number (2.x), vocabulary (standard or DragonPro specialized vocabulary), options (including text-to-speech), and language.

End-User Installation

• The DragonXTools custom controls may be distributed royalty-free as integrated components of the end-user application.
• DragonDictate for Windows 2.x (available separately) is required for each end-user installation; the DragonDictate text-to-speech option is required to use the DragonXTools text-to-speech custom control.

DragonXTools support all available DragonDictate for Windows 2.x configurations, including the Personal, Classic, and Power Editions, standard and DragonPro specialized vocabularies, text-to-speech and other options, and available world languages.
