These models are based on over six years of extensive feedback from DragonDictate users in the legal profession, consultation with industry specialists, legal opinions, journal articles, and a variety of other legal docu ments.

Working in cooperation with West Publishing and US MicroShare Inc., selected legal data and over 1,700 built-in voice commands were added to improve recognition performance and simplify voice-driven access to the WESTLAW and LEXIS-NEXIS research services.

More than just a word list, the specialized language models reflect how legal terminology is actually used. Recognition speed and accuracy are optimized using context and frequency information derived from a broad range of legal documents.
Working in cooperation with West Publishing, thousands of additional case reports and statutes containing West Publishing's copyrighted editorial enhancements were selected and analyzed, further refining the language models for legal applications.
