So, I have a copy of DNS 10 professional. I purchased it intending to script it to work in blender 3D. I had heard that scripting it was simple and powerful, yet I've found it's not as intuitive as I'd like and the resources to learn how to are expensive ( considering I'm a college student using OSS in other applications, it's expensive )

Blender 3D is a CGI program, in the same genre as 3DS Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, etc. It has a TON of hotkeys and is just a huge program to learn.

Let's just skip right to what I need, tongue.gif

I need an advanced scripting tutorial for DNS 10 that goes from "Basic programming logic" to "full blown DNS 10 scripter/programmer". I need to get at least to the point where I can get DNS 10 pro to translate "Extrude, global/local X/Y/Z axis, positive/negative VAR units" where everything around /s are options and VAR is a variable. ( and X/Y/Z can be omitted if a number is heard, or a 'none' option )

The keystrokes would be E for extrude, X/Y/Z would literally hit one of those buttons, and global/local would change how many times it hit the X/Y/Z keys, etc.

So if I said "Extrude, local Y axis, negative 10 units" it would type the keystrokes E, YY, -10" then I could say "Enter" and it'd hit enter.

Larry Allen's Scripting for Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 isn't just the best Advanced-Scripting Guide for DNS Pro, it is the only guide. There are 1 or 2 other free guides available but nothing that compares to Larry Allen's Guide.

However there are other, much busier, speech recognition forums, such as KnowBrainer Speech Recognition Forums where you will find an enormous amount of free scripting step-by-step assistance. Many examples include embedded pictures which, as the saying goes, paint 1000 words.

We additionally recommend purchasing microphones, sound cards, digital recorders, NaturallySpeaking manuals etc. from a Nuance certified/licensed speech recognition specialist for an extra layer of NaturallySpeaking technical support because it's all tied together.
