Hello Friends,

I am using Dragon Medical Edition Ver.10. Recently, have a few issues with the same.

1) Not able to select the word in a particular line or paragraph using (SELECT THAT) and any options with (THAT) is not working. The applications are Microsoft Office 2003 / 2007 Standard Version.

2) Some of the trained commands are not working with MS Office 2003 Standard Version.

System Configuration:

a) Intel®Core™2 CPU 6600@2.40GHz, 2.39GHz, 4GB RAM and 945GCL Motherboard.

Windows XP Professional with SP3, MS Office 2007 Standard Edition.

cool.gif Intel® Core™ 2 CPU 6300@1.86GHz, 3GB RAM and 946GZIS Motherboard.

Windows XP Professional with SP2, MS Office 2003 Standard Edition.

Both systems are having Dragon Medical Edition Ver.10.

Your help shall be highly appreciated.

Regards
Navs.

If the problem isn't a Select-&-Say issue (the ability to select words by voice) but rather, as it appears that you described, certain commands not working, you may have a problem with CTFMON.exe. You'll find a solution to this problem when you search for "erratic behavior" in our NaturallySpeaking Quick Tips (at the top of every forum page) on the KnowBrainer Speech Recognition Forums.

Thanks Pal,

I tried the option, it's working fine but now we are facing a typical problems using Dragon 10.0 Medical in our workplace.

1: Dragon is not compatible with Microsoft Office 2007 but works well with Microsoft office 2003 while using the macros and standard documents.

please do let us know if there are any additional settings involved for the same.

Thanks in advance

Is this in conjunction with an EMR program that is initiating Word? Or is all of the dictation and operation within Word itself? (I ask because I'm working with a situation where Word 2007 is suspect and is being initiated from an EMR.)

Are both Word 2003 and Word-2007 installed at the same time on this machine? I don't think Dragon supports interfaces to both on the machine at the same time.

Larry,

For testing purposes, as well as support for my clients, I have both Microsoft Office 2003 and Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise installed on the same system. Although you can only use one copy of Word at a time (each time you switch versions of Word you are prompted with the necessity to upgrade the Microsoft office configuration) I have no problems with DNS 10.1 Medical dictating into or working with Microsoft Word 2003 or Microsoft Word 2007. Everything works correctly in both versions of Microsoft Office.

Thanks Larry,

Not using the same on 1 PC, In-fact, we have un-installed 2007 & re-install 2003. Also, do you have any update whether DNS 9.5 / 10.1 will support Windows 7?.

Thanks in Advance.
