Since I'm only dictating medical charting, there are probably thousands of words that I will never use that may have the potential to cause errors in my dictation. If I am absolutely certain that I will not be using certain words from the vocabulary, would it be beneficial, in terms of accuracy, to delete them. Recognizing the time that would be required, I would be willing to go through the entire vocabulary list, deleting words as I go, to ensure that the words that I use regularly would have more of a chance to be "selected".
Thanks for any expertise.

This idea has been around since Release 1 of NaturallySpeaking. There is no evidence that it increases accuracy. I do advocate deleting words which actually appear erroneously in your dictation more than once.

Over time, as you add more words that are sitting in the backup vocabulary, many of these words which are not used at all will automatically be moved from the active to the backup vocabulary.
