Andrea USB Adapter vs. Andrea USB 2nd Generation Adapter

Many of you have inquired about the differences between the Andrea USB Adapter and the Andrea 2nd Generation Adapter. Below are my findings.

Andrea USB Adapter

- USB integrated electronics to provide plug-and-play connectivity.
- Enhanced digital microphone audio quality for all speech-enabled applications, without the need for a sound card microphone input. (This device makes any legacy microphone headset compatible with USB-enabled PCs).

* This adapter IS NOT compatible with the Andrea Superbeam Array Microphone.

Andrea USBD-2A Stereo Audio Adapter (2nd Generation Adapter)

- USB integrated electronics to provide plug-and-play connectivity.
- Stereo full duplex audio adapter
- Specially designed for use with Andrea Superbeam Array Microphone, to enhance Voice over IP internet telephony and speech recognition.
- Is packaged with Andrea’s AudioCommander software to optimize multimedia control applications.

Josh,

Have you used/tested the VXI TalkPro USB Pod?

We have two in our office one that came with a Voice Tracker from Acoustic Magic and the other from VXI - I wonder if you've tried them with various 2.5mm jacked microphone/headsets or not.

Thanks!

- Scott
