Ive bought my DNS V6 Pro!
Have a choice of 2 microphones through this dealer:Parrott 10-3 Headset or USB.
Ihave not yet installed anything yet as I'm awaiting delivery of new computer.3 years ago I used IBM Voice TYpe and had a very frustrating time..... so much so I gave up on it.I very keen to get my new DNS working asap with minimal time wasted as I have a health condition which is exacerbated by long bouts of sitting(15 mins is long)and also have RSI.

Also, will having an extension lead to the mike (so I can walk around while dictating)make the DNS more prone to errors?
The Parrott has a lead of 2.7meters so another 2.5 to 4 meters would be good. Can't tell you the length of cord of USB.
Thanks.

Are you getting a laptop or a desktop?

The top mics are the Andrea ANC 700/750 and the Parrott VXI TalkPro. USBs are only necessary with SOME laptops.

If the extension is properly sized, it will not affect your accuracy but walking around will. As you walk, the acoustics change. Either of the above mics should reduce this problem to a minimum. If you really want to walk around with ease you might want to consider a wireless mic but they are quite expensive.
