Hi. I recently purchased several Philips SpeechMike Pro 6274 USB's. I'm using DNS Medical 7.2 along with SpeechMike Software Version 2.2. Our primary dictation application is MS Word 2003. Our OS is XP Pro with SP2 installed.
I set up Dragon hot key for turning on the record function to SHIFT-F6 instead of the default <+> key. I went into the speechmike control software and assigned SHIFT-F6 to the speechmike's record button and saved the settings as default.scm. Next I added the speechmike control application into the startup group so it is automatically launched when the end user logs-in.

I rebooted the PC and logged-in as a user with administrator privileges on the PC. The speechmike control app automatically opens as expected, however it loses my customized settings which I previously saved as default.scm.

Not sure why default.scm is not opening with my saved settings.

I also took the speechmike control app out of the startup group and manually launched.
the app opens and indicates default.scm is opened however my previously stored settings are missing. I can then click on file, open, default.scm and the file is opened with my previously stored settings.

Help!

Thanks for the download info. I installed the drivers.

I forgot to mention that I'm also receiving the error message "the speech engine was unable to open the audio channel". I'm using a brand new PC with P4 3gig and 512 ram. Seems like it may be conflicting with the PC's built in sound card. Any suggestions?

I downloaded and installed the latest drivers. Still no luck on the control application auto opening my saved .SCM file. By default the UNTITLED .SCM folder seems to open. I even tried saving my changes as UNTITLED.SCM and DEFAULT.SCM

I'm logged in the workstation with local admin privlidges.
