Hi,

I'm looking for a mic for DNS that's not connected to a boom or headset and is smaller than the typical handheld. I already have a boom that comes off of my desk to support a mouse substitute and the mic would be attached to that. Essentially what I need is a mic head with a long cord (7' or so). Lapel mics are sort of what I need, but they are usually built as clips which are unnecessary for me and make the device bulkier than it needs to be. The connection could be either 3.5mm or USB. Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks.

You may have had difficulties in the past with lapel microphones with clips but the new Revolabs xTag wireless lapel microphone, which also includes a lapel clip, is a whole new animal. It's about the size of a tube of lipstick, weighs .5 ounces and is the most accurate microphone we've ever tested. We also offer a 100% customer satisfaction 30 day no questions asked moneyback guarantee so you have nothing to risk and it’s the only microphone our support staff uses.

Thank you both for your responses, but I can't use something that has to be moved and recharged. I have to be able to permanently fix it to the end of my boom.

Does the Buddy Flamingo work well if hooked up to a 2m USB extension?
