I'm having a new computer put together, and we have not been able to get a SoundBlaster X-Fi soundcard to work with the Intel DP965LT motherboard with 24 bit onboard sound. Nuance has said that NatSpeak works with 16 bit. Does this mean that Dragon (or the SoundBlaster X-Fi) won't work with this motherboard?
The motherboard has 3 prong inlets, none of which picks up sound from my microphone. When we install the SoundBlaster X-Fi, it doesn't work either, and the next time I reboot I get a blue screen with a message to the effect that Windows has shut down to avoid damage. I use NatSpeak 9. Any ideas about how to proceed? Thank you, Ken Kronenberg |
