Hello.

Is there a way to import commands (a list of commands for addresses, in my case) into a new users voice files without importing all the voice data?

I think my voice files my be corrupt (see previous post) and I want to start fresh. However, I have about 80 voice commands for inserting addresses and other blocks of speech. I don't want to have to redo these manually.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi,
If you go to the command browser and click on Manage, once on that window you can click on the custom command you would like to export and then you'll create a DAT file that you could import into any user file by going again to the command browser and then Manage.

From another post, it appears you are using the Preferred Edition. In that case, I think that your primary means of recovering your existing commands will be by copying the MyCmds.dat file from your "old" user files into your new ones. By default on Windows-XP, this file is at:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking9\Users\<your user name>\current\

If you exported a user, you should be able to find the corresponding "current" directory.
