Gday Yeall
Wonder if anyone of you could throw some light on this. I was involved in reselling VR from the old Dos based Kurzweill systems, first Viavoice, Dragon etc from 1996. Havent used VR since then, but have decided to write a book and have just bought Dragon 8 preffered. I am considering the option of bidding on a notebook (HP NX 9010 - P4 2.66, 512MB, 40GB ) on ebay and was wondering whether any of you have tested the onboard sound capabilities of the HP Notebooks. (supposedly Link AC audio.) Do any of you know whether this soundcard will cut it? I only have 4 hrs left on this bid so quick feedback if any would be appreciated. Thanks a heap Crikeymate |

The simple way around this is to use a USB sound pod or USB microphone. Here is a link to a good USB sound pod: http://www.emicrophones.com/microphones/pr....asp?prodID=003 I would also increase my RAM to 1GB with Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 8. -- Martin Markoe, eMicrophones, Inc. I use DNS 8 with an hpze5300 710 something ram and a pentium iv. Works with a usb mike and, somehow, even better with a regular one (cheapest I could find, actually...ac 100. No problems.
