hi, i would really like some help. i have done the initial trg using the olympus recorder. but how do i now further improve the quality of recognition of the transcribed messages. because i find that after transcription i have got to manually alter the errors and the DNS doesnt learn from that, unlike what happens when we speak into the dragon pad using a microphone. thanks a lot. samit

To improve the accuracy of a Digital Recorder Profile, always correct your mistakes and 'Perform Additional Training' if necessary.
How to make correction to your Mobile Profile To display the DragonBar Extras toolbar, click the 2 downward facing arrows in the right hand corner of the NaturallySpeaking Toolbar. You cannot display the Extras toolbar if the DragonBar is in cling mode. 1. Use the buttons on the Extras toolbar to play back dictation. ![]() 2. Select the text you want to correct by mouse or keyboard. 3. Press the Correction hot key (normally the minus ( - ) key on the numeric key pad) or click the Correction button on the DragonBar Extras toolbar. The Correction menu appears with the selected text. If the Correct word is not in the list Choose “Spell That” and Type the word or phrase. ![]() Note: When you correct someone else's dictation, make sure that the amount of disk space you have reserved for speech data is large enough. Look at the disk space reserved for speech data on the Miscellaneous tab of the Options dialog box which can be found by Clicking “Tools” “Options” on the NaturallySpeaking Toolbar. The space specified when your user files are open should be at least as large as the space specified when the author's user files are open. Saving dictation with documents can take up a lot of disk space, typically about 1.5 MB per minute of dictation. To free up this space, delete the dictation files you no longer need. Dragon NaturallySpeaking saves dictation in a file with the same name as the document, but with the extension .DRA. For example, if you dictate a document called MyDoc.rtf and save your dictation, Dragon NaturallySpeaking saves your dictation in a file called MyDoc.dra in the same directory as your document. Delete Mydoc.dra using Windows Explorer when you no longer need your dictation. How to perform additional training. 1. On the Dragon NaturallySpeaking Toolbar, select Tools, then Accuracy Center ![]() 2. Once the Accuracy Center dialog box appears, select Perform Additional Training. ![]() 3. A New User wizard will appear which will guide you through the next three steps. IMPORTANT: DO NOT dictate punctuation During Training. -------------------- Josh
