question of mic Options

When I first installed DNS, I was using a VXI headphone that plugs into my MIC input jack of my soundcard, USER1 was created, and it works well. Then for some reason, I have to switch to Philips SpeechMike Pro 6274, which is a USB, it is, of course, plugs into the USB port. I new USER2 using this mic and do the audio setup again. My problem is, it works well when I played with samples in folder "dgncom", but not working at all for the samples in folder "sapi". If I plug in VXI headphone again, the headphone works well for both.

Is there anything wrong when I setup SpeechMic for DNS? In New User Wizard, I am not very sure what I should select for "Dictation source:", the following is the list:
1. Mic plugged into Mic-In jack
2. Mic plugged into Line-In jack
3. Desktop array mic plugged into Mic-In jack
4. Desktop array mic plugged into Line-In jack
5. USB Mic
6. Desktop array USB Mic
7. Recording device plugged into Line-In jack
